Getting the news that you're going to have twins feels miraculous enough. But for parents Kyle Armstrong and Hannah Yarker, they were in for a bit of a surprise weeks after the mother delivered her healthy baby girls. When they were first born, they looked nearly identical; however, as the weeks went on, some people couldn't even tell if they were sisters. Hannah now gets bombarded with inquisitive questions from total strangers.
"I can't walk down the aisle at the supermarket without getting stopped. People always comment, 'Are they both yours? Are they sisters? Are they related?'" Hannah told the Mirror's Charlie Moore. "We can't believe they're twins — they've got the same birthday and the same mom and dad but they're just complete opposites in every way."

Mom and Dad, Kyle Armstrong and Hannah Yarker, were delighted to be expecting twins. However, no one, not even the doctors, predicted that little Anaya and Myla would be so rare that the odds of them existing were literally one in a million.
When Myla and Anaya were born, they looked pretty much identical. Then two weeks later, Hannah and Kyle began to notice something about their appearance…
Myla inherited her father's darker skin, while Anaya inherited her mother's fair skin. The twins aren't identical at all. As time went on, it was clear that each baby took after their mom and dad a little more than the other. Incredible!
"At first, both the girls had a purple tone to their skin, but they looked darker, so I assumed they'd both taken after Kyle," Hannah told the Mirror. "But after two weeks, it was clear Myla takes after her dad with dark skin, brown eyes and brunette locks, while Anaya is more of a mummy's girl with a pale complexion, fair hair and light eyes."
Nonidentical twins come from separate eggs and thus inherit different genes. The two gorgeous girls seem to each have gotten a different gene for their skin tone. What a wonderful way to show the beautiful connection between mother, father, and child. The sisters are both the splitting image of one another, and Mom and Dad.
