David and Julie met on a blind date, fell in love and were married in 2012. For 18 long months, they tried to get pregnant but to no avail. So, the hopeful couple from St. George, Utah decided to turn to fertility treatments.
In March of 2014, David and Julie welcomed triplet boys, two of which are rare identical twins. Then came another major hurdle: the identical twins developed twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome while still in the womb. TTTS can be deadly, as one baby can receive too much blood while the other doesn't receive enough. After undergoing a successful surgery at 19 weeks pregnant, Julie delivered Abraham, Brady and Christian three months premature. All three boys recovered and grew healthier by the day.
As they settled into their new life as parents, David and Julie decided to try for another baby. This time around, if they had no luck conceiving naturally, they planned to try fertility treatment in six to nine months.
But just seven months after giving birth to the triplets, Julie was shopping at Target and felt a sudden wave of nausea. At first, she didn't think much of it — but when she got home, she went to the bathroom and got the surprise that changed her family forever…

By the following month, the couple had five children under the age of 14 months old. They admit it was a crazy roller coaster ride, but also the greatest blessing imaginable.
