My memory has always been pretty crummy, but I have a very, very vivid memory of being about two or three years old and playing outside with my brother. My favorite part of the backyard was definitely our slide. However, I was completely unaware that at some point during the summer, a family of wasps had decided to make that slide their new home. As I slid down the small slant, they went into attack mode. Luckily, my mom had plenty of aloe vera waiting for me inside the house, but I've been extra cautious of those stingers ever since.
This brave father and son, however, have no fear as they slice into a huge wasp nest to see what's inside. Okay, they actually have a lot of fear since they aren't insane, and it's totally not something we recommend ever trying on your own any time soon. Fortunately, they have nothing to worry about when they look inside this empty husk. Joined by son Lincoln's friend, Kai, the kiddos insist on having Dan do the dirty work right the kitchen table.
Since the nests around their home were all small and, of course, filled with wasps, the crew found one on eBay to purchase for the experiment. That's right, you can buy a wasp nest online! They all agree that the massive nest looks, well, downright disgusting, but curiosity gets the better of them as they look inside with shock at the inner workings of the hive. Even after getting a good look, Lincoln remains concerned by the possibility of secret insects hiding inside.
