An abandoned pit bull puppy rejected by his mother was given a second chance at life, thanks to the love from an unlikely surrogate!
Little Noland was only a day old when he was brought to the Cleveland Animal Protective League, and staff thought his chance of surviving was pretty iffy. They decided the baby pit bull's best chances were to join a litter of nursing kittens. Amazingly, mama cat Lurlene welcomed the puppy and helped nurse him back to health. They look like one big family now.
Looks like little Noland got the happy ending he deserved! It's so wonderful when animals show how special the mothering instinct is – it's something that goes beyond species. Moms just know when a little baby needs love, and no matter what, they want to make sure he or she gets it! We could learn a thing or two from animals, don't you think?
