At 108-Years-Old, She’s The Oldest Female War Vet In The U.S. – And She’s An Inspiration To Women Everywhere.

Lucy Coffer is the oldest female veteran living in the United States today. At 108, Coffer has seen it all, but she has never met our nation's President and Vice President, until now.

Coffer was invited to the White House as a special thank you for her service in World War II in the Women's Army Corps. She was greeted by Vice President Biden who made her smile and told her that he had a special friend who wanted to meet her – President Obama.

President Obama goes on to give Coffer a Presidential Command Coin, which he says "I only give that to my good friends." Vice President Biden then goes on to give her hugs, kisses and they all take photos together.

Since her birth in 1916, Lucy has seen 17 U.S. Presidents in the White House! That has to be some kind of amazing record. Check out the heartwarming moment between the President, Vice President and 108-year-old Coffer!
