Sugar, a 6-year-old pit bull, is being hailed a hero for staying by the side of two-year-old Colby, after the boy wandered into the woods near their home.
The little boy was playing on the swing set near their home and when Colby's grandfather turned his back for one second, the toddler ran off. When he realized Sugar had gone missing too, he knew his loyal pit bull was protecting the little boy.
300 people came out for the search and the little boy was soon found, with Sugar by his side. Rescuers heard Sugar's barking and found the boy. The boy was crying but otherwise fine, all thanks to Sugar.
