For weeks a very special moment was being planned by two neighbors in an effort to surprise an entire family with the one thing that they have wanted most; their son to return home.
After being deployed in Afghanistan for a mobilization/demobilization tour for the past year, it was finally time for Mason to come home, but instead of letting his family know when he was going to return home, he decided to get the help of his neighbor and fellow Veteran to surprise each of his family members one by one.
The first stop on this tour of surprise was to see his father at work. With the cameras rolling, Mason walked into his office and knocked on his door. The unsuspecting father was in the middle of a meeting but once he sees his son standing before him it's clear to see that the today's to-do list today has gone right out the window. It's beautiful and by far one of the proudest father moments every caught on video and one that is guaranteed to make you cry!
Although it's not shown in the video below, the soldier later surprises his sister and his mother while they were at work. Their reactions, obviously, are amazing! You can tell this is such an amazing, loving, and tight knit family. Thank you to each and everyone one of you for the sacrifices you all have made for this country.
