Halloween is right around the corner and if you're anything like me (artistically challenged and so full of ADHD that you can't even concentrate long enough to follow a stencil) then you're probably are not looking forward to next weekends pumpkin carving party.
Think about it, a lot of pressure comes with carving out a pumpkin. You have one shot and one shot only to create a work of art out of this ginormous gourd. One small slip up and you could end up with one giant hole in your pumpkin instead of that eyeball. That's a lot of pressure.
It would be a lot less stressful if as an adult were were embraced by just taking part in carving the pumpkin. Remember when we were kids and it was perfectly fine to carve out triangle eyes and a toothy smile? As soon as you hit adulthood it's all about 3-D carving, portraits, and perfection. This cucurbita (the technical name for the gourd family in which the pumpkin lives) has to shine and thanks to the good people over at BuzzFeed, those who did not excel in art now have a fighting chance!
