In New York City, just about anything can happen in a subway car, but this video has one surprise that I definitely did not expect to see!
This awesome video was taken by a subway car passenger, who thought they were just capturing a random jam session between two strangers on violin and guitar. I thought the same thing until they started playing a familiar tune. As soon as they start in with "Marry You" by Bruno Mars, I knew something was up. You don't hear that song randomly!
If you've been watching carefully, by around 5:30, you can see the the musicians shift their focus from one another to the couple to the left of them. Sure enough, the man had staged the entire impromptu performance as a way to land his dream girl. He then gets down on one knee in front of the strangers (and a couple of friends in disguise) and pops the big question!
By now, you've likely seen marriage proposals happen any way you can think of, but this man truly sweeps his lady off her feet with a unique surprise and it's ADORABLE.
