These 12 Joel Osteen Quotes Will Inspire You… They May Even Change Your Life!

Well-known evangelical pastor Joel Osteen often shares inspiring words to the thousands who come to hear his sermons every week at the Lakewood Church in Texas.

The 51-year-old — who also made the New York Times bestseller list for his book Your Best Life Now — sends messages of faith as well as positive memos on living life.

"My message is that God is a good God," Osteen told Barbara Walters when he made her list of the 10 Most Fascinating People in 2006. "And if we all … have the right attitude, he'll take us places that we've never dreamed of."

Also dubbed “the smiling preacher,” the married father of two has a great obligation since he’s the head of the largest church in the nation. Although he’s been criticized by many for some of the words he preaches — especially those about striving for prosperity — Osteen told Oprah Winfrey in an interview that he doesn’t have to answer to anyone but God.
