A couple years ago, an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show got off to an incredible start when Josh Groban made a surprise walk-on appearance. It got even better when Ellen suggested they sing a song together. Yes, please!
At first, Josh seems a little apprehensive, but little does the audience know he's about to whip a microphone out of his back pocket.
Josh and Ellen then seized the moment and broke into an epic rendition of Bonnie Tyler's '80s pop hit (and every karaoke bar's #1 song), "Total Eclipse of the Heart." That's right — this dark, emotional song just turned into the most hilarious duet of all time. I may like this duet more than when Josh Groban sang with Charlotte Church, and that's saying a lot.
Josh's biggest fans (who call themselves “Grobanites,” by the way ) are already well aware of the fact Josh has serious pipes — but now they're giving him credit for his great sense of humor. Ellen, on the other hand, proved she's not half bad at singing! She harmonized right alongside Josh, and fans gave her an A+ for effort.
What a dynamic duo. These two should take it on the road.
