Pink Reveals How She Really Feels About Her ‘Boring… Wonderful’ Marriage To Carey Hart

Even in the best of circumstances, marriage is tough. No one knows that better (or perhaps is more upfront about it) than superstar singer Pink. The singer has been open plenty of times about how truly challenging it is to stay married year after year. Even though Pink seems very much in love with her husband, Carey Hart, she doesn't hold back when it comes to the fact that marriage is still immensely hard at times.

Pink just opened up again about marriage in a cute post on Instagram. While her tone was serious, the image she shared along with her revealing caption was utterly adorable. Pink wrote really eloquently about what it's like to have the same partner for such a long time. While she definitely spoke from the heart and laid it all out there, it wasn't an overly negative post. That's the amazing thing about Pink. She has a way of being brutally honest and sticking to the truth, while also maintaining a positive and grateful vibe at the same time.

Marriage is something that plenty of people strive for. But it isn't all roses. Marriage can be immensely challenging even in the best of circumstances. It takes a lot of hard work to make a marriage last. Pink, who has been married to her husband, Carey Hart, for 14 years, knows that well.

Waiting is so hard

Pink loves to break down stereotypes about so many things, but she's really outspoken about marriage. It's refreshing because Pink genuinely loves her husband, and it is so evident. They are always so supportive of one another. The fact that their relationship is so strong is probably what gives Pink the ability to speak so openly about the tough stuff.

My baby girl

She continued, "It is boring, terrifying, and a total nail biter. It is loving another fallible creature while trying to love yourself. It is a lifetime of coming back to the table. People laugh at us because we're either fighting or laughing. They roll their eyes when we talk about therapy. But I'll tell you what. It's worth it. All of it."

It's such a sweet and touching sentiment. For Pink, it's not about masking the hard parts of marriage. It's about leaning into it and getting honest about what needs fixing. It's about putting in the work. Honestly, if more people approached marriage that way, acknowledging that it can be so hard to stay together, more marriages might actually last.

She continued on about the importance of going to therapy, making it clear that she believes it's for anyone who wants to better their life, or their lives together as a couple: "Therapy isn't for weak people or hippies or liberals. It's for broken people that want to be whole. It's for runaways that want a family. It's a lesson on how to sit down and listen. How to love yourself so that the other person can, too. I love you babe. I'm grateful we made it to this photo @hartluck."

It's an amazing thing to be able to talk so openly about marriage. The truth is that some people shift and change and grow apart. Open communication can help people to grow together. And it definitely doesn't seem like Pink and Carey have any trouble expressing themselves and their needs. That's huge!

When it comes to being so candid about their relationship on social media, that serves a truly important purpose, too. Pink is not just airing her frustrations with her husband; she's showing us that even happy couples struggle, fight, or even think about abandoning it all from time to time. For any couple going through a tough point in their married life, it can be so helpful to hear.

Pink and Carey do seem genuinely happy despite butting heads, like most couples do. They are the parents to two kids, Willow Sage and Jameson Moon. Pink has been upfront about the challenges of motherhood, too. And her mom fans love her for it.

Pink is a force in the music world. Her honesty is part of what makes her such a relatable artist. But we always love when Pink opens up about being a wife and a mother, letting us all know that everyone — even celebrity mamas — have many of the same struggles. Her candor really goes a long way in helping us all feel like we're not screwing up all the time.

And that's probably kind of her point.
