An Abandoned Newborn Bunny Wound Up In A Pile Of Mulch. Then? An Easter Miracle!

With Easter just a day away, ‘tis the season for tiny miracles of human compassion! Spring often sees its fair share of newborn animal babies without homes, and they sometimes need us to extend our kindness.

Remember baby Chloe? She was an 8-day-old abandoned kitten who was found recently and taken to the highest kill shelter in Los Angeles just 20 minutes before closing, meaning she faced being euthanized. But a last minute volunteer took her in and bottle nursed her every three hours until she regained her strength, and she’s now thriving in her foster home.

Sometimes it’s not the humans of the household who decide they want to take in these tiny survivors; our pets frequently make up their minds on the matter long before we’re even aware of it. Take for instance Bailey, who adorably adopts a clutch of abandoned baby chicks who wandered into her yard.

A newborn baby rabbit was separated from his family – including his mom – when he accidentally was shoveled into a pile mulch that was delivered for a home garden in Pennsylvania. Luckily, the mulch delivery was made to a home that was right across from a veterinarian's house, and after some care he was taken in by the children who found him just before Easter Sunday.
