Ellen DeGeneres is the queen of daytime TV, but anyone who regularly watches her show knows she has a penchant for pranks!
One of her favorite ways to prank people is with a hidden camera and an earpiece, like the time she and Bruno Mars played a hilarious prank on this unsuspecting nurse. But lately Ellen has had her sights set on a very high-profile victim, the Today Show's Matt Lauer.
For over two months, we have been witnessing a hilarious prank war ensue between these two. It began when Ellen used some clever editing to show Matt clad in leather and chains during an interview with the stars of Fifty Shades Of Grey. Matt then retaliated by filling Ellen's Porche Cayenne with 20,000 ping-pong balls while she was filming her show.
Well, they came together this past Sunday for the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards to announce an official end to their prank war…sort of. When Matt appears in pasties and stockings offering to donate $1,000 of his own money to charity for anyone who thanks him onstage, it appears once again that Ellen got the last laugh.
