When someone you love celebrates their birthday, you want to be able to celebrate it with them. Since that’s not always a possibility, people are constantly coming up with ways to express their love and say happy birthday in their own unique style.
When it comes to Grandma and Grandpa, sending a card with some heartfelt words and your signature for the little ones is always nice, but when the grandkids are still young, grandparents want to see how big they’ve gotten since the last time they saw them, and they want to hear their precious little voices.
Because most grandparents would rather have your company than a gift on their birthday, parents are helping their little ones make adorable “happy birthday” videos to Nana and Papa (or the hundreds of names kids come up with to call their grandparents).
When Alexandria sent her “Papi” his birthday video, she sported numerous jerseys from his favorite sports teams, making it an extra special gift.
In this video, little 3-year-old Levi took a similar approach and personalized his nana's birthday greeting by doing a traditional Haka. Levi performs this traditional ancestral dance, or war cry, with so much intensity and passion for such a tiny tot. We're sure Nana was overjoyed to get such a wonderful birthday surprise!
