The difference between a near miss and an utter tragedy was a matter of inches in this heart-stopping news report. I honestly cannot believe how horrific this could have ended up being. It seems, recently, that there have been a lot of news stories about school busses, but this one certainly is the most shocking by far!
It's hard enough raising a child in this messed up world. With inflation rising, along with college tuitions and mortgage rates, it's tough enough just worrying about the bare minimums. Your biggest worry should be on whether or not your children do well in school, not the fact that there are people who would rather text than pay attention to the road!
Watch the video below and be thankful that these kids had an angel looking after them, but also, it should serve as a reminder. Even though the school bus had it's giant red "STOP" sign up along with blinking lights, this driver barreled through, nearly killing three innocent children on their way to school. I keep imagining how much worse this story could have been and shudder at the thought.
So please, remind your children that even though they might think it's safe to cross the street to always look both ways! You never know when this information might save their little lives!
