This Portable Table Is The Summer Accessory I Never Knew I Needed

During the summer months, I love spending time outside. Whether at an outdoor concert, backyard picnic, or family camping trip, there's nothing better than breathing in the fresh air and catching some warm rays.

But if there's one thing that can instantly improve any outdoor activity, it's definitely some good refreshments. Without the right cold drink or yummy summertime snack, what good would a backyard get-together be?

That's why this amazing tutorial instantly caught my eye. Though it's really intended for more private outdoor activities, I could certainly see it spicing up my many summer plans.

Roughing it on a secluded campsite? Tuck this in with the rest of your camping gear, and you're sure to have a wonderful time near the campfire. Or perhaps you'll be lounging lakeside with some friends. Just stake this in the sand and you'll be relaxing in no time.

To get started on his brilliant summer craft, Imgur user MasterKruse began by using his jigsaw to cut out a circle of wood.

Next, he cut out holes from the circle of wood — which, as he wrote in his captions on Imgur, took much longer than he thought it would.

Once the shapes were cut out, he used his spindle sander on each hole.

Next, he ran into a tough knot. Before cutting further, he had to sketch out a path around it.

Now that the cutting was all done, it was time for the final steps.

After rounding out the edges and staining it, he gave his table a clear coat. Finally, it was time to test it out!

He stuck the table into the ground, grabbed a bottle of wine, and slipped in a couple of glasses. It was perfect!
