Live-Action Disney Model Helene Stanley Shows Off Some Classic Disney Dances

In 1959, Walt Disney Studios released one of their most famous movies of all time, Sleeping Beauty. The animated version of a classic fairy tale won the hearts of millions, and even today, it's considered one of the company's best films. But the movie never would have been possible without the help of Helene Stanley: the live-action model who helped bring Aurora's movements to life.

We've shown you Disney's fun movie secrets before, but actually seeing Helene perform Aurora's dance while animators sketch her movements is truly magical. She really looks like a real-life princess! And it's amazing how fast the animators work. This clip really makes you realize how much work went into creating these classic movies. It's no wonder they recycled so many dance scenes for use in their other films!

Sleeping Beauty isn't the only Disney movie where Helene's talents shine; she was also the live-action model for Cinderella and Anita Radcliff from 101 Dalmatians. Watching her dance, I can definitely see why! She's so graceful, and she almost looks like she's floating with every step she takes.

After seeing these movies so many times, I'm so happy to finally see what went on behind the scenes. What a mesmerizing glimpse into the past!
