Watching moms interacting with their babies is cute no matter what species is involved, but this long-tailed weasel family has upped the adorableness factor so much, I don't think anything can ever top it! These tiny babies (called "kits") look like furry little lizards as they bound through the grass and climb a wall with their loving mother… but when one of them gets left behind, my heart melted into a puddle!
I love watching mothers in the animal kingdom take care of their kids. Whether they're as small as this weasel family or as large as this whale and her calf, they all have such amazing and unique ways to show their love. Even though many people sadly believe that humans are the only creatures capable of truly loving each other, this speedy little family proves that it's simply not true.
Watching the little lost kit cry out for his mother and siblings nearly broke my heart, but when his mom came back to reunite him with the others, I couldn't keep the smile off my face. This poor baby seemed just as scared as this tiny lemur who was terrified to jump from one of his caretaker's hands to the other. But at last, this furry family was reunited and off to do a lot more scurrying. Don't you just love a happy ending?
