Former White House adviser Kellyanne Conway has had some troubles with her teen daughter Claudia Conway in the past. The 16-year-old has become something of an internet sensation for giving an inside look at what being the daughter of one of the former president's biggest spokespeople is like.
Now Claudia is opening up more about the relationship between her and her mom, and it's alarming her 1.5 million TikTok followers and more. Claudia shared a compilation of times she's been berated by a person who sounds like Kellyanne. She isn't visible during any of the comments, but it's enough to lead people to show concern for Claudia.
Claudia has spoken about emancipating herself before, but many thought it was because of the differences between herself and her parents. Now there's concern her actual well-being is at stake.
Claudia Conway got the attention of her many TikTok followers and more with some concerning recent posts. The videos feature a voice that sounds like Kellyanne, though she isn't on camera making any of the comments. There's a lot of cursing and some really ugly comments made.
"You're lucky your mom's pro-life," the voice says in one video.
"I can get you taken out of here today," is heard in another.
Claudia claims to have hundreds of such videos, as explained in further posts giving context to what she'd shared.
"I'm not looking to hate on my mom. I just think it's important to tell my side of the story and my experience," Claudia said.
"I was just going through some videos. I have hundreds and hundreds of videos just like that and I thought it was important because as a woman who has such power in this country, I don't think people really know how she is."
"Also, a reminder to everybody who is in a similar situation that you're not alone and that, you know, trust me, I get it," she continued.
"In terms of what can be done, there's nothing that can really be done. I tried everything, but my parents are too powerful and nothing happened. But, I'm probably going to get into a lot of trouble for this, but I just want everyone in the world watching this to know that I'm not lying at all. I wouldn't lie about anything like this."
In another video, Claudia admitted she was nervous about what would happen to her now that she'd posted this.
"She's probably going to publicly say that she's not abusive and whatnot, but that's what manipulators do and narcissists," she said of her mom.
"I'm not looking for attention. I'm not looking for anything. I'm in a situation that's really physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive and I think it's important that everybody sees that," she said.
"I know that all my mom's friends and family are going to say that I'm lying, I'm looking for attention, but I'm not."
Following her posts, the police showed up at the Conway home, which Claudia also posted about. She explained that she was home alone and they were checking on her. She told them she was fine, and they left, according to her post.
Claudia answered concerned commenters asking why nothing's been done on her behalf. Many people believe Child Protective Services should investigate the Conways, but no such investigations seem to be being explored. Many are hoping that with the administration in the past and Kellyanne's platform lessened, things may improve for Claudia in one way or another.
