Ashley Graham is expecting her second baby! The gorgeous mama and body-positivity advocate made the announcement on Tuesday via Instagram.
The 33-year-old model wrote, "The past year has been full of tiny surprises, big griefs, familiar beginnings and new stories. i'm just beginning to process and celebrate what this next chapter means for us ❤️." The caption was alongside an absolutely stunning picture featuring Ashley with a simply beautiful baby bump!
The photo was taken by Ashley's husband, Justin Ervin, a filmmaker who often photographs his model wife. The pair already are parents to son Isaac Menelik Giovanni, who was born in January 2020. But by the looks of things, they can't wait to be a family of four.
Ashley seems to delight in being pregnant. When she was pregnant with her son, she shared a ton from her journey. But it wasn't just the pretty stuff. She showed us just about everything.
Ashley made a point to share not just stunning images like the one she used for her pregnancy announcement but also images that represent real pregnant bodies. Like photos that show belly rolls, cellulite, and stretch marks. It's empowering because it's the truth: That's what most women relate to in terms of their own pregnant bodies!
Ashley's transparency is why people loved watching her navigate her first pregnancy as well as early motherhood. Ashley clearly loves being a mom. She recently opened up about her motherhood experience in a video celebrating her son's first birthday.
"I learned to love in a way that I never knew I could love. Never. People tell you, people try to explain it to you, but you don't know love until you have a child of your own like that," she said.
"I cannot believe how fast this year went, watching everything: how you turned on your own and crawled on your own and started talking and walking on your own. And how we play with the ball, kicking and throwing, and how your Daddy loves you so much and how much I can see you love him back. It's just this beautiful bond."
We're so excited for Ashley and her growing family. If she approaches this pregnancy in the same way as her first, we're likely in for a whole lot of honesty and bold body positivity. And we're definitely here for it.
