Mom Hires ‘Grinch’ As A Funny Prank For Her Son, But The Actor Takes Things Way Too Far

A Northern Ireland mom with a Grinch-obsessed son thought it would be a fun surprise to bring the Grinch into her home. Ironically, she's the one who ended up shocked.

Laura Magill of Belfast had her story quickly go viral as people saw photos of how the Grinch stole Christmas in her family's home. Laura explained in her Facebook post about the incident that she had hired a Grinch impersonator for her children's holiday party.

"So paid £85 ($114) for a Grinch visit," she began before detailing how the experience did not go according to plan.

Laura explained that the advertisement told parents to expect a little mischief from the Grinch when he visits.

"Advertises the Grinch to come in, mess the kids' bed, have pillow fights, put toilet roll around your Christmas tree, and pictures with the kids at the end," she explained, adding that they didn't make it to that last promised activity.

"They were told to leave, no pictures."

Laura explains that the Grinch who showed up at her home went above and beyond, and not in an appreciated way.

"What I got, every single bit of party food, expensive cupcakes threw all over the place. Tree decorations BROKE !!" she wrote.

"Fairy up [dishwashing] liquid poured on my kitchen floor, eggs smashed, and a full bottle of juice poured over my floor and SON !!!"

Laura's son didn't look entirely displeased in a photo she shared, which shows a slight smile on the boy's face as he's covered in icing and other evidence of Christmas cheer.

"Kids' new onesie ruined. Highly, highly DO NOT recommend," she wrote.

"Mailed and complained, no reply. Grinch defo came and stole Christmas. Never been so disgusted in my life !!!"

A Twitter user shared the Facebook post on the platform, and it went viral almost instantly. People couldn't believe that the mom had truly gotten Grinch'd.

Some people point out you get what you pay for. The mom dropped a pretty penny on a Grinch experience, and whether or not it was the one she expected, she got it.

A few pet owners joked that their furry friends could do more damage than the Grinch did. The internet definitely has jokes when it comes to this one, and they're sure to keep coming throughout the holiday season.
