Gal Gadot is a head turner. She's arguably one of the most beautiful women to ever walk the Earth. But right now, she's turning heads for a different reason: her recent comments about giving birth.
Gal told InStyle that she absolutely loves giving birth. "I would do it once a week if I could. It's so magical," she says. "And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it's not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you're creating life, it's incredible."
Wha— what??
Giving birth is magical. Like, everything is contained one second and the next, there's an entire human being lying on your chest. It's one of the biggest highs ever, and throw in that flood of oxytocin that hits birthing people just after the baby is out, and we almost know what she means. Almost.
Even in the absolute best of circumstances, birth can be brutal! Even epidural births are no fun. That giant needle going through your spine? Hospital beds and wires and machines that beep all night? No thanks.
We know she's Wonder Woman and everything, but this statement really makes her seem somewhat superhuman. Still, Gal brought it back down to Earth for us by admitting that even though she loves giving birth, she doesn't feel the same way about pregnancy.
"Pregnancies are hard for me," she shared in the interview. "I feel sick and have migraines. I'm not in my element."
That is certainly relatable. A lot of women feel like utter garbage during pregnancy. From headaches and morning sickness (or for the unlucky ones, all-day sickness) to bloating and heartburn, it's tough. And still, some woman claim to feel completely amazing during pregnancy. It just goes to show that while all pregnant and birthing bodies are completely amazing, they are really unique experiences for everyone.
Gal feels that giving birth doesn't makes her a badass, though, nor how much she genuinely loves doing it. She says her badassery lies in her ability to balance her career and her mom life. "That is the badass thing I do: the juggling between my family life and my acting career," she says.
We hear that.
