Bob Saget’s Wife Kelly Rizzo Opens Up Just After Laying Him To Rest: ‘How Lucky I Was’

Kelly Rizzo is coping with the untimely loss of her beloved husband, Bob Saget. Now she's opening up for the first time after the 65-year-old actor was found dead in a hotel room.

Shortly after Bob was laid to rest on Friday in an intimate ceremony, Kelly took to social media to share her love for her husband, as well as her unimaginable grief, with the world.

"My sweet husband," she began. "After much reflection this week, I'm trying, really trying, to not think I was robbed of time. But instead to think: How lucky was I that I got to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN ON EARTH."

Kelly made it clear just how much she loved her husband in the post. She continued, "I was the one who got to go on this crazy ride with him and be in his life these last 6 years. We had that time to make each other the happiest we'd ever been and change each other's lives forever."

She continued, sharing how genuine their love was: "I got to be the one to love him and cherish him. He deserves all the love. Every ounce of it. Because that's how amazing Bob was. He was love. If you were in his life you KNEW he loved you. He never missed an opportunity to tell you."

She also opened up about how immensely grateful she was that she and Bob always told each other how much they loved each other. "Most importantly. I have no regrets," she wrote. "We loved each other so damn much and told each other 500 times every day. Constantly. I know how much he loved me until the very last moment and he knew the same. I'm so grateful for that. Not everyone gets that."

In the wake of Bob's death, her words are powerful. It seems that it was Bob's view to always tell people how much they mean to you. That may have become more apparent to him after losing his sister to a rare disease years earlier. He knew life was short, and he wanted his people to know they were loved.

Kelly is far from the only person who felt Bob's love. His friends and costars have been opening up since his death about just how kind, genuine, and loving he truly was.

John Stamos has echoed Kelly's gratitude for knowing Bob. The actor shared his immeasurable grief at the loss, calling Bob's funeral the "hardest day" of his life.

Kelly also shared her gratitude at the outpouring of support she has received following his death. "Everyone loves Bob and everyone wants to make sure I'm ok. And for that, I'm eternally grateful," she shared.

In closing, she wrote of how she will honor her husband's life and legacy. "Bob had so much more he wanted to do and so much more love to give," she wrote. "And to the best of my ability it will be my mission to share how amazing he was with the world, and try in some small way to keep spreading his message of love and laughter. I just want to make him proud."

She concluded her statement with a message of pure love. "And to his girls, I will love you all with all my heart, always. Honey, I love you more than anything, forever."
