The Trump family is being called out for flaunting their wealth again. This time, Lara Trump took to social media to share a selfie from a recent vacation and was immediately met with criticism. To a lot of the critics, the post felt deeply out of touch. Others, however, chose to focus on how terrible they thought Lara and her husband, Eric Trump, looked in the vacation selfie.
Based on how critics reacted in the comments, scrolling through social media and getting to this photo was actually quite the jump scare for some people.
For one thing, Eric, 42, was shirtless, and Lara, 43, was wearing a bikini.

And in the comments, people made it known that they wished they hadn’t seen this. “You both should quit with the bathing suit pics,” one commenter advised. “Neither one of you look as good as you think you do & should therefore not be subjecting the American public to such scary & vile photos.” Ouch.
Someone else said, “Yeah really, read the room love. Nobody on the planet needs to see this.”
People also questioned what motivated Lara to share the selfie in the first place. “Disgusting!” another critic wrote. “Why would you post this? Seriously! Are you tone deaf?”
And a fourth commenter added, “Do you not own mirrors or have any shame? Jfc you’re a hideous couple of clowns.”
Beyond that, people were once again disgusted by the Trump family’s lavish lifestyles.

At this point, it almost feels like they’re just rubbing it in. Various members of the Trump family have already been called out for their “let them eat cake”-style social media posts. And yet, they just keep sharing them, which really makes people wonder how they could manage to be “so out of touch.”
Many commenters made it very clear that they’re tired of seeing “all the Trumps and Cabinet flaunting their vacays while the average American can’t afford to drive to the nearest Six Flags.”
Even some commenters who supported President Donald Trump said they felt this way. “Hey, We cant afford vacations right now so bragging right now is not a good look…signed 3 time Trump voter,” one person commented.
Someone else called the Trump family “disgraceful” for this because they’re flaunting their wealth as many Americans struggle to afford essentials like gas and groceries. “Glad you two get to go on luxurious vacations,” one person wrote sarcastically. “Millions of Americans can’t even put food on their tables for their kids. So yeah, have fun.”
Another critic added, “Must be nice to never work a hard day in your life. Grifting 101 on the taxpayer dime.”
Eric also shared several vacation snaps on Instagram.
Of course, he also received a lot of “must be nice” comments. “Sure would be nice if the rest of us could afford vacations…” someone commented on Eric’s family photos. “meanwhile we just struggle to find work, pay for groceries, basic rent, utilities, and the taxes that build the hoards of data centers we never asked for.”
Clearly, people did not find the family vacation photos relatable at all. Someone else sarcastically commented, “Ahhhh… the life of the average working American.”
Critics also immediately accused him of using Photoshop to edit his photos. Specifically, several people accused him of altering his wife’s appearance, which would certainly be an interesting choice. “why you photoshoping your lady in the second photo??” one person questioned. “Nice photoshop on your bae lol,” another commenter wrote.
Lara was previously called out for sharing a selfie when traveling to China with her father-in-law.

The response was equally critical, but it seems as though she hasn’t been even the slightest bit deterred by all of the negative comments on her posts.
Last month, she posed for a selfie alongside Dan Scavino, Walt Nauta, Natalie Harp, Marco Rubio, and her husband and captioned it with, “Team CHYYYYYNA 🇨🇳🇺🇸”
In response, people were like, “You know posting that kinda s— makes you all look like scumbags especially when half the country can’t afford to fill up their gas tanks,” and “AMERICANS CANT AFFORD GAS LARA.”
And yet, she decided to post her vacation pics.
