Bindi Irwin’s Baby Grace Celebrates Her First Birthday: ‘The Most Extraordinary Person’

It might be hard to believe it, but Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell's daughter Grace recently celebrated her first birthday. Grace was celebrated at home by her parents as well as Bindi's brother and her mother.

Bindi shared photos from the day on Instagram alongside a sweet caption that mothers around the world will relate to.

Bindi wrote, "Happy Birthday to my graceful warrior. One year of watching your beautiful heart bloom into the most extraordinary person. Grace, you have been an old soul from the very beginning. It is the greatest blessing to be your mama. I love you eternally, unconditionally and infinitely."

Chandler also wrote a tribute to their daughter on his own account: "It’s been one year since you came into our lives and yet it feels like you’ve been with us forever. I never knew I had so much love to give. Happy first birthday sweetheart."

Bindi's brother, Robert, also added to the celebrations, writing, "What a wonderful celebration for little Grace’s big 1st birthday! And so special that she could meet her grandparents on Chandler’s side for the very first time after they were finally able to come over to Australia all the way from Florida."

Family weren't the only ones celebrating Grace. In fact, the Australia Zoo pulled out all the stops to cheer on the little girl, sending a note on Instagram and offering zoo guests free cupcakes to honor the day. The Zoo noted, "Happy birthday to Grace Warrior It has been wonderful watching you grow with our wildlife family and khaki crew."

Bindi and Chandler had something else special to celebrate on the same day: their second wedding anniversary. The two got married after shelving their original pre-health crisis plan, explaining to People at the time. "We thought about postponing," Bindi said, "because you want to share this day with everyone, but when it boiled down to it, we both just said, 'Look, we desperately want to get married, and no matter what the future holds, at least we'll be husband and wife."
