One of the really fun things about watching NBC’s America’s Got Talent is that when someone walks onstage, you can never really be sure what exactly they’re going to try to wow the judges with. That was exactly the case with Tom Graham and Chris Ume, who partnered up during the global health crisis to create something truly unique.
During this segment of AGT, when the two men are asked about their special talent, they explain that they started a company together about a year before called Metaphysic. The key factor involved in their brand is that they “use artificial intelligence to create hyperreal content.”
If you’re unsure about what that actually means, you’re not alone.
At this point in the clip, they invite their friend Daniel Emmet onstage. Daniel was actually a contestant on AGT in season 13 and is a very talented singer who performs in a bold, operatic kind of tone.
Simon Cowell then asks Daniel how exactly these three men came together for this opportunity.
“I’m [a fan] of what they do online and they’re fans of AGT,” Daniel explains. “And when they asked me to be a part of this wonderful, unique, original thing they’re gonna do, I couldn’t say no.”
Simon doesn’t want to ask them any more questions but wants them to just get on with their act. Both Tom and Chris exit the stage and leave Daniel center stage, when all of a sudden a very large camera comes out with a camera operator in tow. The camera is positioned directly in front of Daniel.
Then the music cues and suddenly on the big screen is someone who appears to be Simon Cowell, singing away with one of the most beautiful voices you’ve ever heard! But is it actually Simon up there?
