Expanding one’s family is a big decision. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively decided to take the plunge. They are expecting their fourth child.
The couple went public with this news when Blake made an appearance at the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women's Summit on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Blake wore a metallic sequined long-sleeved minidress that accentuated her adorable baby bump. Neither the couple nor their reps have made an official comment about Blake's pregnancy.
Blake and Ryan are already parents to 7-year-old James, 5-year-old Inez, and 2-year-old Betty. The couple appear to love being parents. They are very hands-on.
Ryan even took a step back from acting to be a fully present dad. He told Jessi Hempel, LinkedIn News senior editor at large, "The biggest thing for me is that I don't want to miss this time with my kids.” He added that he wants to “live life like a normal human.”
Ryan said he wants his kids to have a normal structure so their development is healthy. When the kids were younger, he and Blake would trade off working on projects, but even then the kids would be away from home. Now they are in school, so things have shifted.
"I love taking them to school in the morning, I love picking them up. I love that I have the hours in between to focus on the things that I'm really passionate about like MNTN and Maximum Effort. It is a juggling act."
