Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen To File For Divorce In FL, Dispelling Rumors Of Reconciliation

There won't be any reconciling for Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen.

According to what sources told People, the papers are in. The sources told the outlet both will file in Florida on Friday morning. "The settlement is all worked out," the source said. "They've been working on the terms this whole time."

Shortly after multiple outlets confirmed the news, Bündchen confirmed both parties had filed, asking for "privacy" in a message on Instagram. "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always."

The source added that they've agreed to joint custody of their children.

The news of the divorce comes after reports of the couple living separately broke earlier this year. Gisele was first to hire a divorce lawyer, but Tom hired one shortly after.

While is seemed that Tom may have wanted to reconcile, his wife seemed confident in her decision. The model was spotted without her ring soon after the split was reported, as friends said she had moved on. Her social media activity has also been telling, as she recently left a comment on a post about "inconsistent" partners.

"She is the one steering the divorce," an insider told People. "She is playing offense and he is playing defense. He wants to protect himself, protect his interests, but he's only starting to go the legal route in his defense from her."

They continued, "He doesn't want this to be ugly, he doesn't want to fight. If the divorce is happening — and it seems like it is — he wants it to go as smoothly as possible."

The football star's estranged wife was reportedly upset over his decision to unretire from his football in what had apparently been an ongoing argument over the years.
