People Are Applauding This Tough-As-Nails Waitress Who Tossed A Customer Out Of Her Diner

A server in Long Island has gone viral on TikTok after she was caught on video telling a disgruntled customer who was being rude and disrespectful that he needed to leave the restaurant where she is employed.

Inside Edition spoke to the waitress, Sondra Albert, about the incident that took place at the Massapequa Diner on Long Island, where Sondra has been a server for 15 years.

Alison Hall from Inside Edition sat down with Sondra to discuss the viral video and what exactly was happening when the waitress had a heated discussion with the rude customer.

Alison noted that it appeared that Sondra was trying to “reason with” the customer about whatever seemed to be the issue. Sondra agreed, but also said that “there’s no reasoning with someone like that.”

Sondra also divulged to the entertainment news outlet that the customer who appears in the TikTok video was a “semi-regular” who had behaved rudely to staff before, but things “crossed the line” that night when he started slinging personal insults at her.

“It came from my anger for five weeks of seeing his face. I just couldn’t stand it anymore. He had to go one way or another,” Sondra told Inside Edition.

The customer who shot the footage that appeared on TikTok, Louis Cozzolino, calls her a hero of the restaurant industry for not tolerating the customer’s rude behavior and asking him to leave.

“She is a hero, she won’t admit to it, but she is, really. Everyone’s saying she’s sticking up for every waitstaff in America.”

The viral video of Sondra Albert has garnered almost 10 million views on TikTok.
