A Massachusetts woman went missing on New Year’s Day. Ana Walshe got into an Uber headed toward Logan International Airport in Boston but failed to board her plane. She has not been heard from since. She is a real estate agent and mother of three.
On January 8, 2023, just seven days after her disappearance, her husband, Brian Walshe, was arrested for misleading police in the ongoing investigation. A gray Volvo minivan was also taken as evidence.
Police issued a statement about this new development in the case. “During the course of that investigation, police developed probable cause to believe that her husband Brian Walshe had committed the crime of misleading police investigators,” they stated.
This is not Brian Walshe’s first run-in with the law. In 2021, he pleaded guilty to wire fraud, interstate transportation for a scheme to defraud, possession of converted goods, and unlawful monetary transaction. He had stolen his friend’s authentic Andy Warhol paintings and attempted to sell them.
According to friend Alissa Kirby, Ana Walshe was headed to Washington, DC, for work when she went missing. “Honestly, I’m scared. Really, really scared. She’s a loving and loyal wife and mother of three beautiful boys. I know in my heart, that of her choice, she would not go a day without speaking to her husband and her kids,” Kirby stated.
