Since their creation, Lego bricks have never lost their luster. They've been a fun pastime for literally decades, and it's easy to see why. There are seemingly endless things to build with the tiny toys.
Lego celebrated its 90th birthday on August 10, 2022. That's a lot of Lego love. But now we're learning that some vintage Lego sets might be more than just a fun activity. They might actually put some extra cash in your wallet.
According to The Toy Zone, which recently collected data for 13,763 Lego sets from BrickEconomy, an online guide on the economics of Legos, some vintage sets are seriously valuable.

10. Big Rig Truck Stop Set
Coming in at No. 10 is the Big Rig Truck Stop. This set was released in 1987 and originally retailed for about $52. Now it's worth $3,700! That's one giant leap.
9. Airport Shuttle Set
Also pretty darn valuable is the Airport Shuttle set. This iconic set was released in 1990. It was a more expensive set at the time, costing $139.99. But it was certainly worth the value, as now it's valued at $3,988.98.
8. Spider-Man Combined Set
Released in 2004, The Spider-Man Combined set cost $199.99. But in about two decades, the value has taken a leap. Its current value is $3,996.83. Even with spidey sense, no one could've predicted that.
7. Minifig Pack Set
Next up is the Minifig Pack set. This one was released about 40 years ago. At the time, it cost less than five bucks! Now it's valued at $4,237.48. Talk about a good investment.
6. Town Plan Set
One of the oldest sets on the list is the Town Plan set. It was released in
1962 and cost $12.50. Now it's worth $4,546.77.
5. The Castle Set, 1981
The Castle set, released in 1981, was just $48 to purchase at the time. Now it's worth a ton more. The exponential growth is math we can't even do, but it's currently valued at $4,605.83.
4. WeDo 2.0 ReadyGo Classroom Packs
Released somewhat recently, in 2016, WeDo 2.0 ReadyGo Classroom Packs have already grown immensely in value. While the packs cost a hefty $750 back then, now they're worth an astonishing $4,614.41.
3. Mr. Gold
How can one little man be so valuable? That's a question for Mr. Gold, perhaps. The mini figure was released in 2013 and cost just $2.99. These days, he's worth $4,680.00.

One Castle set, released in 1978, is seriously valuable. Back in the late '70s, it retailed at $49.99. Now it's the second most valuable set there is. Its current value is a whopping $6,321.36!
