Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second baby together!
Eugenie shared the news on Instagram, where she wrote, "We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer."
Eugenie and Jack's son, August, will turn 2 in a matter of weeks.
The news was also celebrated by Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, who seems thrilled about becoming a grandmother for the third time.
Eugenie and Jack have been reserved in terms of what information they share about their son, though the royal did open up about some changes she's made since becoming a parent while speaking to Reuters editor-at-large Axel Threlfall and Arctic Humanity founder Gail Whiteman.
She explained, "My son's going to be an activist from two years old, which is in a couple of days. So, he, everything is for them. I talked to Peter Thomson, the UN Special Envoy for Oceans and all he says to me is that I do this for my grandchildren. And that's the same."
She continued, "But I think also as a mother, you all of a sudden, totally you change, your hormones change, everything changes. Like now I'm scared of flying and things like that and I would never be before."
She also added that she and Jack have made changes to their home since August joined them. Eugenie said, "At home we have no plastic, we try to as much as possible have no plastic and I'm trying to teach him that. But it's a battle."
Eugenie has made a point of working with a number of environmental organizations in recent years. She is currently an ambassador for the Blue Marine Foundation.
