If you met a stranger in need, would you stop and help them, no matter the inconvenience?
This video story posted by Wonderbot on YouTube tells the tale of Jonathan, a bus driver working his regular route in New Jersey, who was driving one day when a little girl got on his bus begging for help.
“My mom needs help! Please help me!” exclaimed the little girl.
Jonathan took a glance around the bus and quickly noticed that while a few passengers looked worried, most were just ignoring the little girl. At that moment, he knew he needed to keep the bus moving.
“Listen, girl. I don’t have time to help you. Call 911,” Jonathan offered.
The little girl persisted that her mom needed help, while Jonathan did the only thing he could think to do at the time. He got up at the next stop and proceeded to remove the girl from the bus.
He quickly apologized but told her that he needed to keep the bus moving for the other passengers, but if she really needed help, she could ask someone for their phone to call 911. After that, Jonathan continued on his bus route and eventually made it home for the night.
When he arrived home that evening, his wife, Caroline, came to greet him. She told him that she had the craziest day that she couldn’t wait to tell him all about.
Just as he made his way into their living room, he was greeted by the same little girl who had been on his bus earlier that day begging for help. Jonathan couldn’t believe his eyes. He immediately asked his wife who she was and what she was doing in their house.
