Actor Jonathan Majors Arrested In Alleged Domestic Dispute In New York City

Actor Jonathan Majors is having a breakout year in his acting career. He made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the new villain Kang the Conqueror. He also stars alongside Michael B. Jordan in Creed III as Damian "Diamond Dame" Anderson. Unfortunately, he most recently made deadlines because of struggles in his personal life.

On Saturday, March 25, 2023, Majors was arrested on assault charges following an alleged domestic dispute in New York City. A 30-year-old woman accused him of assault. Authorities report she sustained “minor injuries to her head and neck” when they responded to a 911 call in Chelsea. Majors denies any wrongdoing.

Priya Chaudhry, the actor’s lawyer, stated that her client was “completely innocent.” She went on to say he was “provably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows. We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

This evidence includes two written statements from the woman who originally accused Majors. This woman now recants her story. There is also video footage of the pair and eyewitness testimonies.

“All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever,” Chaudhry concludes.

A US Army commercial featuring Majors has been pulled from the airwaves. “While Mr. Majors is innocent until proven guilty, prudence dictates that we pull our ads until the investigation into these allegations is complete,” the Army Enterprise Marketing Office stated.
