Nick Cannon is opening up about the financial relationship he has with the mothers of his children, and not everyone likes the sound of it.
In an interview with Hot 104.1, Nick shared that he doesn't give the moms of his kids a set monthly amount of money, or a "monthly allowance," as he puts it. Nick said, "It ain't even about a monthly allowance or amount of money because I don't give myself that. What they need, they get it."
Nick continued, "There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive … . That's why they call me the provider."
Some people have voiced their distaste for the arrangement. As one commenter wrote, "Financial manipulation and inconsistency isn’t exactly the backbone of a strong healthy relationship."
Of course, from the outside, it's difficult to know exactly what benefits the women who have had children with Nick receive and what they do not.

For example, it's likely that each woman has access to a whole world of professional opportunities that Nick can and does connect them with. Additionally, Nick has never said that he doesn't provide for his family (and in fact it seems quite the opposite).
It's unclear what Nick's net worth is, but it's likely that he is still bringing in plenty of money from the syndication of his shows, including reruns of Wild 'N Out and The Masked Singer.
