Tucker Carlson Is Leaving Fox News In Wake Of Network’s $787 Million Dominion Settlement

Fox News host Tucker Carlson is leaving the network effective immediately.

The news surprised many. Fox issued a short statement and explained, "Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor."

Carlson first began working for the network in 2009.

Many are speculating that Carlson's exit is tied to the Dominion lawsuit against Fox News. The network settled the $787 million defamation suit with Dominion only days ahead of Carlson's last day, which was April 21, 2023.

Dominion Voting Systems sued the network after it made a number of untrue claims that the 2020 election was rigged against former President Donald Trump. Carlson was a major figure in the suit, as he was one of the driving forces behind the claims.
