Parents Welcome Identical Twin Boys, 13 Months Later A Set Of Identical Twin Girls Arrive

Being a parent is hard work. It takes time, patience, and a lot of sleep loss, but it is all worth it! That is only with one child, though. If you have twins, it’s twice the work. Now, can you imagine the work of having two sets of twins just 13 months apart?!

Britney and Frankie Alba from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, have identical twins Levi and Luka, who are 18 months old. These twin boys are already big brothers to their 4-month-old identical baby sisters, Lynlee and Lydia.

Britney and Frankie met when they were in high school, at a church camp. A few years down the road, they started trying to have children. When they got pregnant with their first, Britney unfortunately had a miscarriage. The couple then welcomed their twin boys in 2021.

The Today show shared a baby picture of the twin boys, and my goodness, they are absolutely precious! Six months after having the boys, Britney was pregnant again! To her surprise, she was getting another pair of twins. Her bundles this time, though, were extra special.

The girls were MoMo twins, which is one of the rarest forms. This means that they share the same placenta and amniotic sac. With this news, there is also a risk, which caused the hospital to admit Britney at 25 weeks. When Britney was in the hospital, Frankie was at home holding down the fort with the boys.

The girls were monitored 24/7 for 60 days. Britney said, “They would listen to the heartbeats several times a day. I would literally hold my breath until I heard both heartbeats.” The girls were delivered and got to go home to meet their brothers shortly after.

It is true what people say: It takes a village! Now that Britney is back at work as a fourth grade teacher, and Frankie is back at work as a firefighter, one set of twins goes to Britney’s parents for the day, and the other set goes to Frankie’s parents. Thank goodness for grandparents!

Frankie and Britney are the type of parents I thrive to be. No matter what is set on their plate, they take it head-on and with a smile on their faces. They were meant to be parents.
