Benedict Cumberbatch and his family are mentally and emotionally recovering after being attacked at their home in London. Jack Bissell, a former chef for the May Fair Hotel, broke into their front yard. Luckily, no one was physically harmed.
"I know you've moved here, I hope it burns down," Bissell allegedly yelled as he held a fish knife in his hand. Days before, he had reportedly shared his plans to burn down the family's home to a random shopkeeper.
The reason for the attack is unknown. Bissell also caused significant damage when he threw a plant at their garden wall and spat at the intercom before tearing it loose with his fish knife.

According to a source close to the family, they are still recovering. "Naturally all of the family were absolutely terrified and thought this guy was going to get in and hurt them," the source shared. "Luckily it never went that far. Benedict and Sophie have had many sleepless nights since worrying that they may be targeted again."
