Hoda Kotb Says She Knows ‘With Certainty’ That She Will Meet A New Love Soon

Everyone comes across love at least once in a lifetime. For Hoda Kotb, she's sure she'll be meeting her next special someone. According to her, she expects her next love to be in the air — very soon.

Hoda shared she knows that she will find love again. In a recent story published by People, she shared, “I know with certainty — and it’s the strangest feeling to know that."

She went on to share that though she's not currently hunting for love, she has a weird "tingly Spidey-sense" about meeting a special someone soon. “Like, I can sometimes feel him, but I don’t see what he looks like, but I feel like it will happen."

Hoda was recently engaged to Joel Schiffman. After eight years together and two kids, the couple called it quits in 2022.

During a segment on the Today in January 2022, Hoda shared information on the couple's decision to part ways. "Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and meaningful conversations over the holidays and we decided that we are better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple," she said. "So we decided we are going to start this new year on our new path as loving parents to our adorably delightful children and as friends.”

She added, "It’s not like something happened. They say sometimes relationships are meant to be there for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. I feel like ours was meant to be there for a season.” At the time, a source close to the cohost shared that the split was hard on Hoda.

But where she stands this time of year, the 58-year-old is open to dating and finding love again. "I have an open heart," she shared in May of 2022. “I know at some point, and I can see it, it will happen."

In October 2022, her coanchor, Jenna Bush Hager, wanted to set her up on a date. “OK. I want to be set up,” was Hoda's response, to which Jenna was ultimately surprised.

“I have chills! That is a challenge that I am going to go for," Jenna promised at the time. It's not clear if she ever went through with it, or if she's still looking for the perfect candidate for her friend. But all in all, we can't wait for Hoda's "special someone" to come along.
