Salma Hayek Wows Fans With Gray Hair, Wrinkles, Bare Face In New Selfie: ‘You’re Perfect’

The world at large is not kind to aging women. Men are allowed to become more interesting with age, while women are held to unrealistic and misogynistic standards. This can be seen especially in Hollywood. One A-lister is not buying into the hype and instead embracing her age.

Salma Hayek continues to age gracefully. On June 6, 2023, she posted a makeup-free selfie that unapologetically showed gray hairs, wrinkles, and bags under her eyes. She does not seem to mind getting older because it most certainly beats the alternative.

Salma’s photo is an extreme closeup of her face. It begins at her forehead and cuts off her lips. One can also see some hair peeking through. “Me waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning,” she captioned the photo. A relatable thought for many maturing women.

Many fans took to the comments to tell her how beautiful she is.

“Thank you for sharing! It helps all of to see that even the most beautiful and famous also age ❤️,” wrote one fan.

“Are u kidding? You’re perfect!!!” wrote another.

Salma’s celebrity friends also affirmed her in the comments.

“Beautiful!” wrote Cindy Crawford.

Olivia Wilde could not come up with words so she resorted to emojis. “ ❤️ ,” she commented.

Salma is undisputedly an exceptionally gorgeous woman. In January 2023, she posted a photo from the premiere of her film Magic Mike’s Last Dance in which she was posing with costar Channing Tatum. Many could not believe she looked younger than the 43-year-old actor.

“How tf Salma look younger than Channing Tatum lmao,” wrote one user.

“A reason for the straight dudes to see Magic Mike,” joked another.

“You will be hearing from my lawyer for my medical bills because i am not okay you look amazing!!!!” quipped one user.

Aging was not what Salma expected it to be but she is loving it. “I thought getting older meant I wasn’t going to work; I’m working. I thought getting older maybe meant that you’re not in love anymore; I’m in love,” she told Glamour magazine.

“I don’t feel that I lost my flexibility or my agility or even my strength. I do have to say that I have found it beautiful, getting older with someone,” Salma gushed.

Salma married French billionaire François-Henri Pinault in 2009. In 2007 they welcomed a daughter, Valentina Paloma Pinault, to the world. François also has three other children from previous relationships.

Salma loves being a mother. "I only have one daughter and that has been … the most incredible experience I have had in my life and I have done a lot," she told People En Espanol. "I am sure that there are plenty of women that say 'God, what a marvelous life, she can do this or that.' But, there is nothing that I have done that is more incredible than to have a child."
