Ana Graham was in the middle of the Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, when the unthinkable happened. After Ana ordered chicken nuggets for her 14-month-old at Chick-fil-A, they found a spot inside the food court and sat down to enjoy their lunch.
Suddenly, Ana noticed her daughter Lucia exhibiting some strange behaviors. Her eyes and mouth opened up wide and she struggled to let out a series of coughs.
The horrified mom realized her baby was choking on one of the chicken nuggets. Ana looked at Lucia's bright red face and realized her daughter's expression was one of terror.
"I remember feeling like vertigo," she told CBS News.
Ana flipped Lucia over and pounded her on the back, but the chicken remained lodged inside her throat. She began screaming bloody murder for someone, anyone, to call 911.
Shoppers started gathering around her, but amid the chaos, two police officers who happened to be eating at the exact same Chick-fil-A saw what was going on. They sprung up from their table and rushed to Ana and Lucia.
Without any hesitation, the officers grabbed Lucia as Ana fell to her knees in shock. A part of her thought these would be the final moments of Lucia's life.
The harrowing rescue was caught on the mall's security camera, and now the footage is going viral.
