The daughter of two-time Super Bowl champ Bruce Collie was killed in a plane accident. Devyn Reiley was one of four people who died in two separate plane crashes during an airshow in Wisconsin on July 29. She was only 30 years old.
Devyn's copilot, 20-year-old Zach Colliemoreno, also died. They were flying a World War II-era T-6 Texan at the time of the crash.
The two were participating in the AirVenture Oshkosh when their aircraft went crashing into Lake Winnebago. This happened just five minutes after takeoff, around 9 a.m.

Witnesses of the crash said they saw the plane spinning uncontrollably as it went down into the water. It had reached 3,900 feet before crashing into the lake.
“I heard the plane start coming out of the sky, and it started like spinning and all of a sudden it just made a big splash,” said Brayden Hiebing, an onlooker who had been fishing in the lake at the time. The US Coast Guard started searching the lake in the afternoon, and recovered both bodies in the evening.
Devyn's husband, Hunter Reiley, was at the event with her. The two owned a flight school based in Texas, and had just celebrated three years of marriage. He took to Facebook to grieve the loss of his wife, sharing a video that was captioned, "We talked about making this at Oshkosh. Didn’t think it’d be forever… I can’t wait till hold your hand again. The ghosts of Airventure… ."
In another tribute, he wrote, “All you wanted was to make the wasp proud. You earned your ‘Fifi’ wings.” People in the comments shared their condolences.
"Devastating news," one person wrote. "Sending love and prayers for the whole family."
"I'm from Oshkosh, and this is a fear every year for those who love here as well as all the visitors for the convention," another person commented. "I'm so sorry for your loss."
Devyn was the oldest of Bruce's 13 children. She became a certified private pilot in 2017, intending to become a certified commercial pilot.
The second crash, which happened three hours later, involved a ELA 10 Eclipse gyrocopter colliding midair with a RotorWay 162F helicopter. The pilot of the helicopter, 69-year-old Mark Peterson, and the passenger, 72-year-old Thomas Volz, were both killed. An investigation into the cause of Devyn's plane crash is still underway.
