Sometimes in life, we can have connections with people that without an odd twist of fate would have gone undiscovered.
One day, a young man named Anthony was informed by his old school friend named Josh that their former teacher Mrs. Matthews had died. Anthony found himself sad to hear this news as not only was Mrs. Matthews a great teacher, but she was also his school’s robotics team faculty representative, and she had always believed in Anthony’s future.
After high school, Anthony had gone on to great success and even owned his own tech company.
At the funeral, Anthony couldn’t help but notice a young girl dressed in all black on her own. When he asked his friend who she was, he told him that her name was Rosemary and she was Mrs. Matthew’s granddaughter. Her parents had died in a car accident a few years ago, so now she was likely to end up in the foster care system.
Anthony couldn’t stand that thought and in that moment, he decided he wanted to do something for the teacher who helped inspire him all those years ago. He put word into Rosemary’s social worker and shortly after it was arranged that Rosemary would come and live with Anthony and his family.

When Anthony brought Rosemary home, his daughter Gina didn’t have the most pleasant reaction. She demanded to know who this new person was in her house, and after her dad explained the situation, she told her parents that she didn’t want her there and they had to choose between her and Rosemary.
