Tennessee Titans’ Caleb Farley’s Dad Dies In Explosion At Home In North Carolina

Tennessee Titans cornerback Caleb Farley is experiencing a devastating loss right now. His father is dead and another person was injured when the cornerback's North Carolina home exploded overnight. The multimillion dollar lakeside house was completely reduced to rubble, as shown in footage of the aftermath.

According to the director of the Iredell County Emergency Management, Kent Greene, the 24-year-old football player was not home at the time of the explosion. But 61-year-old Robert Farley, his father, was.

Farley made his way back to the home early Tuesday morning with other family members to speak with authorities. According to Greene, the house had collapsed due to the explosion.

Another man was found leaving the home when emergency crews arrived. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital at the time. As of now, a cause for the explosion has yet to be identified.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters that the team is going to do "everything we can to support Caleb and his family." Titans safety Kevin Byard told reporters he texted Farley after hearing the news. "It's just very tragic," he said. "As a team and as a brother, all we can do and all I can do is try to be there for him. It's going to be tough. It's an unimaginable tragedy."
