Cindy Crawford's dad had no idea that modeling is an actual career, according to the 57-year-old model and actress. In a clip from her upcoming Apple TV+ docuseries, The Supermodels, she revealed that her father was probably her biggest opposition to starting her modeling career.
When she first told him about getting into the field, he apparently thought that modeling was just a code word for prostitution. Due to that specific reason, her parents accompanied her to her first modeling audition, just to guarantee that wasn't the case.
"My dad really didn't understand that modeling was a real career," Cindy explained. "He thought modeling was like another name for prostitution, so they came with me to my very first modeling appointment."
"I didn't even know it was a real job," the television personality also revealed. "I didn't know how I would get from DeKalb, Illinois, to a magazine."
