A 3-year-old pet kangaroo who went by the name of Carter was allegedly strangled to death by his neighbor's owner. It's an incredibly sad story that all took place at Chris Lee's home in Tennessee.
Chris says he was out Christmas shopping when Carter, who lived with other kangaroos in a fenced-in area of his yard, got out. Carter allegedly went straight to his neighbor's home and attacked the woman who lived there.
His frantic neighbor called him to tell him the horrifying story that followed.
The woman called 911 to say that the kangaroo charged at her and that she "fought for her life." She told the operator she had to "kill the kangaroo."
Chris says he's incredibly shocked that it happened. But experts say these animals are wild and they don't make the best pets because they can become aggressive.
