People Shocked After Woman Reveals She ‘Freeze-Dried’ Her Cat After The Animal Died In 1992

One woman has the internet in a frenzy after showing off her preserved “freeze-dried” cat. Jamey Lew Franklin took to TikTok to reveal how she kept her cat’s memory alive (quite literally) after it passed away decades ago. “This is for Erin Kline. This is Kitty Kitty who was 18.”

“He passed in 1992. We had him freeze-dried,” she said while showing off a video of her preserved cat, which many people said could honestly be mistaken for a live cat simply taking a nap!

The woman continued to show off the glass case that her cat came in. “I don’t regret doing it at all,” she said of having him freeze-dried. “Back then it was very cheap. It was $400 to have him freeze-dried. But back then $400 was a lot of money … You had to put him in the freezer until they sent you the box and everything to send him to be freeze-dried.”

Apparently, the couple hosted a party during that time and one of their guests went to the freezer to get ice. “They got kinda scared,” Jamey said of the guest finding the cat in the freezer.

The cat has a permanent place in its glass case in Jamey’s living room. Some TikTok users don’t understand how the woman could do it.

“I would cry everyday, seeing my baby in that case,” one person commented.

“I couldn’t do this. I’d cry knowing no matter how much i pet him or look at him he’s not coming back,” another person wrote. “My grief process would hit a standstill indefinitely.”

Others, however, found the woman’s video a little weird.

“My FYP has taken a very strange turn today,” one person said.

” I BEG YOUR FINEST PARDON???” another user questioned.

“Definitely doing this with my grandma,” someone else joked.

Jamey also revealed that she’s able to open the glass case.

One person wrote: “The urge to open that box for one more cuddle would nag at me daily. I couldn’t do it but its a beautiful memorial🥰.” Jamey replied, “The glass does come off you can pick him up. You can pet him.”
