The manager of a short-term rental property in Phoenix has allegedly filed for a restraining order against a couple that complained about the noise. The couple says that living behind the rental home has "totally changed [their] lives" due to parties, constant noise, and strangers staying at the property looking at their yard, according to Arizona's Family.
"We’re held hostage inside our house," Mark Honold said to the news outlet. "It’s just so loud, you can hear everything."
Because of the way the rental property has reportedly impacted their lives, the couple has made numerous complaints, contacting both the police and the property manager. Their complaints did nothing to improve the situation. Instead, the couple claims that the owner of the property filed for a restraining order against them.
Arizona's Family reported that the property manager claims that no one else in the area has complained about noise at the property. The manager also told the outlet that guests are screened before they can stay at the property, and the property does not allow guests to host parties.

The restraining order was filed against the couple because in addition to making complaints, they have also reportedly yelled at guests for being loud. Linda Bliss called the move "very demeaning because I’m licensed by the state of Arizona for insurance, working with children, the elderly, and they came and treated me like a criminal."
