On Vera Wang's Instagram, you'll find fans asking her how she looks so good for her age. The fashion designer is 74 years old, but in 2020, a photo of Vera in white shorts and an orange top went viral because people were shocked by her appearance and wanted to know her secret since she appeared to not really age.
At the time, she said her "secret" was a combination of sunblock, vodka, sleep, and work. Many assumed that her routine must also include a healthy diet, but it looks like that is not exactly the case.
Speaking with Page Six, the designer opened up about what she loves to eat. "I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely," she told Page Six. "I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”
When it comes to treating herself, Vera doesn't stop there. She also told Page Six that she loves Dunkin’ Donuts. "I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut. It’s like a jelly donut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too."

"Impossible, it is biologically impossible not to have a single wrinkle and loose skin after seventy," one person wrote in response to the viral 2020 photo that Vera Wang posted. "Don't make fools of us – or are you a Martian????? ."
In response to another more recent photo, someone asked, "What is the secret to keep your skin tight n glowing?"
Speaking about the 2020 photo, Vera told People that she's not the only person who looks good at 70. "I guess it's just that people have an idea of what 70 looks like today. I have so many friends that are 65 to 70 that look fabulous," she told the publication.
She also said she drinks vodka. "And, one of the things I am known to like to do is have a vodka cocktail. There's no question about that, I do. I have a vodka at some point after five or six o'clock, maybe towards seven," she said.
Though she has spoken of McDonald's, donuts, and vodka, Vera has another "secret" that some people are even more skeptical of: working. "Nobody believes me when I say it, but working keeps you young. It keeps your mind young, and your spirit up and your relevance up, which I think affects your body," she said.
When the photo of her went viral in 2020, Vera was pretty surprised. People were interested in the outfit that she chose to wear for the photo, which to her, just made sense based on the weather at the time.
"It was like 90 degrees in Miami, I wasn't going to wear a turtleneck sweater! We just all looked at each other and said, 'Are you kidding?' Just didn't really get it," she explained.
When it comes to looking young, Vera added that "good lighting is everything too."
